Rick retired in July 2016 as the Supervisory Computer System Administrator (IT Director) from the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Arizona. For nearly two decades he provided the FPD in Arizona with digital forensic services, expert witness testimony, computer based litigation support, and network design and operations. He’s worked on dozens of criminal cases and can locate, extract, and analyze the critical information you and your client need to resolve your case. He certified as an AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) and Certified Mobile Examiner (CME) in 2014 and again in 2016 and has presented expert testimony for the Arizona FPD in Federal District Court as well as the Eastern District of WA.
Rick’s been a faculty instructor at conferences and seminars for more than 15 years teaching attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and other Federal Defender Computer Systems Administrators digital forensics and computerized litigation support. Organizations he’s supported as faculty include the US Courts’ Defender Services Office Training Branch, NACDL, APDA, NDIA, the Tucson Bar Association, and Federal Defender offices across the country.
